DR. CAROLA FLEENER was born and raised in South America and received her M.D. degree at the University of Carabobo in Venezuela. As her family is originally from Sarasota, she and her husband Jim and their three children moved back to this area in 1984. Carola was in the Pediatric Residency Training program at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg before joining the Sarasota Children’s Clinic. She is active in the Medical Education Committee of the Sarasota County Medical Society and in Hispanic activities in our community. She is also very involved in the activities of her three children. Carola says: "It’s a great feeling to share the joys of parenting and participate in children’s health care."

Lisa Ann Bernard, ARNP, is our newest full time medical care provider here at the Sarasota Children's Clinic. Lisa started with our practice as an LNP in 1999 before returning to school and completing the RN program at Manatee Community College in June of 2001. Lisa went on to complete her Master's degree in Nursing Science at the University of South Florida graduating in May of 2004. Lisa is the proud mom of a recent grad from Riverview High School. She is a caring provider who is focused on children. Lisa says she "enjoy a challenge and meeting the needs of our little people brings long term fulfillment both personally and professionally." She brings with her 17 Years of combined medical experience to the practice and we are happy to have her on board.
